Aesthetics are important. I appreciate the beauty around me which God has created as well as man made designs in photography, music, art, fashion, style, architecture. Our sense of aesthetics is part of what makes us human. Beauty is important.
Clothes are more than just an aesthetic choice. Everyday which we arise from our slumber is a sartorial adventure. Outfits give us the chance to communicate with others before we have a chance to speak. The self-representation we send through our garments is significant. When you get dressed you are making a statement--- not just a fashion statement, but also a statement of identity.
What is interesting to me is how clothes change how people perceive you. When I am in a suit and tie for example, people refer to me as sir. I guess they see a suit as a sign of power and the person in it as someone to be respected.
